Spyware is computer software that is secretly installed onto your computer as you surf the internet.  It is designed to take full or partial control over your computer without your consent or knowledge.  Often these spyware programs gather information about your surfing habits and report back to a third party.  Other programs take complete control of your computer.  These programs can redirect your web browser to sites which contain harmful viruses such as the feared worm.

Have you noticed lately that your computer may be running very slow?  This may be caused by several spyware programs running on your computer all at once.  Some may be a low threat while others may be a high threat.  Luckily there are software programs out there that can remove spyware.

I had a very serious problem with my computer a while back.  So I purchased a spyware program on the internet.  I ran the first scan of my computer and was shocked to see I had almost 200 spyware programs on my computer.  Some of them a very high threat.  So let me give you this piece of advice, if you want to keep your computer running smoothly you need to invest in a quality spyware removal program.  Run a scan every day, I have mine configured to run a scan at a certain time every day.
