Making money as an affiliate marketer can be narrowed down to three different categories. You can earn a commission by selling a product, you can get paid for leads and you can earn money for clicks. Today we will analyze which ones are the easiest to make money with in your affiliate marketing business.

Getting paid by the click would be most commonly associated with Google Adsense. Google’s Adsense program is on of the largest affiliate programs in the world and almost every website has a Google ad on it.

Why would you want to use this program? The simple answer is that most webmasters know that it is very simple to make money using the Google Adsense affiliate program.

Google Adsense is fairly easy to use. You do not actually have to do anything except blend the ads into a page giving them a natural appearance. Then drive traffic to the page and every time someone clicks on one of these ads you earn a commission.

Google pays out literally billions of dollars in commissions every three months so we know it works. And you have to drive traffic to your website anyway so this is certainly an easy way to make money. The only draw back to this program is once a person clicks an ad they are drawn away from your page.

Getting paid by the lead is very easy as well and affiliate networks such as Max Bounty and others pay out a lot of money in monthly commissions to webmasters who are doing just that. Max Bounty offers several lead programs each offering different compensation and marketing materials.

The great thing about getting paid for leads is that the customer usually only needs to fill out a simple form. All you are asking them to do is to submit a few bits of information. Every time they fill out the form that is on your webpage you earn a small commission which can add up over a month's time.

Selling products is probably the hardest way to make money in an affiliate marketing business. But it also has the most potential to very profitable if you are representing the right product. One example is to buy an e-book with resale rights for $20 then sell it for $40 earning a nice $20 commission. Or if you like to write, compose your own e-book and sell it, keeping all of the profit. If you are targeting the right kind of traffic this can be an easy commission to make.

Here is the key to making money selling products online. You have to generate the right kind of traffic for your site and then get them in a buying mood before you ask for their money.

When it is all said and done, your success is totally dependent on how you approach your marketing and which products or services you offer. All three of these are great ways to make money. The affiliate marketing business that will be easiest for you will be the one that you can earn the most money with and feel the most comfortable promoting.
